MONACO INTERESTED IN SAHA

Monaco are ready to swap Dieumerci Mbokani for Everton’s Louis Saha, who they are interested in. There have been rumours in France that Monaco are keen to offload the flop for around a month, and after beating the Toffees to the striker in the summer it seems that Mbokani could end up on Merseyside in any case.

With Louis Saha badly struggling for form too, it is believed that a capture of the international is possible, especially as the Congo striker would likely be his direct replacement.

SAHA HOPING TO WIN AGAINST WIGAN

Louis Saha has said that the match against Wigan athletic could kick start Everton’s season. After an impressive pre-season and a recall to the France squad, the Frenchman’s progress has been hampered by injury.

He broke his duck for Everton in the Carling Cup victory over Huddersfield Town but was soon banished to the treatment room by a calf problem sustained while on international duty against Slovenia.

SAHA WARNS OF SUNDERLAND

Louis Saha has warned Everton about the threat of the Sunderland strikers. Everton travel to the Stadium of Light this evening looking to extend a run of form that has seen them take 29 points from a possible 33 against their hosts.

And Louis Saha admits Everton must keep the pair in check tonight as they aim to bounce back from a seven-match unbeaten run being ended by last week’s defeat to Arsenal.

“Their strikers are dangerous and Gyan and Welbeck – who I know very well – are good players,” said Saha.

SAHA OUT OF UNITED CLASH

Louis Saha is a major doubt for Everton’s home clash with Manchester United. Saha limped off only 10 minutes into his international comeback for France against Belarus in Paris on Friday with a knee problem, costing this webmaster one of his free bets! Rodwell suffered an ankle injury in the recent Premier League defeat at Aston Villa that prompted his withdrawal from England Under-21 duty. Everton have yet to discover the extent of both injury problems but the pair are major doubts for the United game.

EVERTON CHASE PARTNER FOR SAHA

Newcastle United lead the chase for Everton striker Victor Anichebe after seeing Louis Saha ahead of him in the order. It is believed Hughton is looking for a striker to add to his squad before the transfer window closes and feels that the 23 year old could be the ideal player to score the goals and keep Newcastle in the Premier League.

Anichebe only has 12 months left on his current contract at Goodison Park and the Merseyside club could listen to offers of around £1.5 million which is inside Hughton’s current budget.

SAHA THANKS FANS

Louis Saha thinks the best way to thank the Everton fans for our support this season would be to beat Portsmouth on Sunday.

With the season fizzling out and Everton locked into eighth place in the Premier League, there is nothing but professional pride at stake against Pompey.

SAHA BACK FOR EVERTON

Louis Saha could earn a recall for Everton’s trip to Blackburn on Saturday but Johnny Heitinga is a doubt.

Saha was only on the bench for the midweek draw at Spurs but boss David Moyes could be tempted to bring him back into the starting line-up for the trip to Ewood Park at the expense of Yakubu.

Heitinga, meanwhile, was forced off early into the second half against Villa and is still struggling with injury ahead of this weekend’s game so Jack Rodwell, Tony Hibbert and Joseph Yobo are on stand-by to replace him.

SAHA REVEALS INJURY WOE

Everton striker Louis Saha has admitted he was troubled mentally during his time at Manchester United.

The Frenchman endured an injury-ravaged spell with the Red Devils and said that the mental challenge of trying to constantly get back to full fitness as well as keeping the club and the fans happy took its toll on him. Thankfully at Everton he’s managed to stay out of the Everton Hospitality seats for too long!

SAHA WANTS EVERTON STAY

Louis Saha says he does not want to leave Everton despite interest from Turkish side Besiktas.

The 30-year-old France striker has endured another injury-hit campaign and Besiktas revealed this week that they were hoping to tempt the player away from Goodison Park.

However, Saha feels that he owes David Moyes a debt after he brought him to the club from Manchester United last summer and he says has no intention of moving on.

‘I haven’t been contacted by anyone,’ he told the French media.

‘I want to repay Everton and David Moyes for giving me my chance.
