FERGIE: GOAL TWINS!

Sir Alex Ferguson is depending on Louis Saha and Wayne Rooney to become a modern version of the 'goal twins' of Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole.

Their link up play has been good so far, but Fergie expects it to get even better!

"Wayne and Louis are both strong, brave, quick, two-footed and good finishers so they have all the ingredients needed," insisted the United boss.

"I'd like to see their partnership develop in the way it did with Yorke and Cole, and Teddy Sheringham's combination with Ole Solskjaer. If they can do that it'll be very good for us.

"I want to see them carry the kind of threat we had when we last won the European Cup," he added.

Meanwhile, Rooney believes playing alongside Saha has helped benefit the England striker's game.

"I've had to adjust a little bit because Ruud and Louis are two different players and you need to do different things at times," he acknowledged.

"But Louis is a bit better running in behind than Ruud was and is also stronger and faster. So playing with Louis gives me more time to get on the ball.
