SAHA: I'M SORRY

Louis Saha was in apologetic mood on Tuesday night, having missed a crucial penalty that would have guaranteed Manchester United a safe passage through to the next stage of the Champions League. Instead, because he missed, they face a perilous game against Benfica, which could make or break their campaign.

"It is one of those things," he reflected on Sky Sports News. "I said sorry to the lads, but it is in the past and it will not change. A 1000 sorries will not change anything.

"I am sorry for my performance also.

"We were surprised on the free kick and it is a shame as it would have been very nice to get a draw."

"Benfica have to come to Old Trafford so it is our advantage," he added.

"We need a point and it is going to be a tough game, but we have a big advantage."
