SAHA PRAISES READING
Louis Saha was delighted to reach the quarter finals of the FA Cup, but
was gushing in his praise of Reading after the Royals pushed United all
the way in a thrilling fifth round replay.
The French striker was among the goalscorers as United raced into a 3-0
lead in under six minutes, but Steve Coppell's side pulled two goals
back to ensure a nervy evening for the Reds.
"We got three goals early, but they had the mental strength to come
back and score twice and give us massive nerves at the end," Louis told
MUTV.
"I think we should have kept going and maybe scored more goals. Credit
to Reading though because they started to put more pressure on us and
it was a good game.
"They came back with different tactical play and it was quite difficult
but we managed, and we're through."
Saha's strike was flanked by goals from Gabriel Heinze and Ole Gunnar
Solskjaer in an electric start to the game, the likes of which the
Frenchman conceded he had never seen before.
"It was unbelievable," he admitted. "The way we started was like table
football, very quick play and it was good to score three goals."
