FERGIE BACKS SAHA
Sir Alex believes it's worth to have Saha around despite all the injuries that make him a liability.
Stories were aplenty in the papers about how Saha lost Fergie's trust after failing to be fit for crucial periods of the season.
Our achievement is all the more remarkable, having won the league without our number one goalscorer who is twice a player than Alan Smith but that does not obscure the fact that Saha is a liability now.
The Frenchman allegedly refused to appear at the awards dinner on Monday night, claiming he can't drive at the moment. He's reportedly incurred Fergie's wrath who will, according to the tabloids, sell him during the summer.
However, it seems that Fergie is not annoyed by the niggling injuries that always rule the striker out of important games - like the FA Cup final that he'll miss with a knee injury. He feels it's a gamble worth taking with him.
'Louis is the type of player who is built for speed.
'Over the years he has always had hamstring problems but we were aware of that when we signed him.
'He is such a fantastic striker, we decided to take the risk and in some ways we are pleased with that. He has made a good contribution when he has been available and we just accept it as part of the game.'
We suggest you email Louis to let him know what you think - contacttheplayers.com
