France 5 - 0 Faroe Islands
Wednesday 11th October 2006
France
Louis Saha started the scoring and pushed France into the lead against the Faroe Islands.
Facing the amateurs from the tiny islands above Scotland, France were expected to win, especially after their disappointing performance against the Scots.
A cross that was headed down by Thierry Henry was met by Saha's trusty boot with just 40 seconds gone, and Louis Saha made no mistake.
The game was wrapped up by Henry, Anelka and two from David Trezeguet.
France: Landreau, Escude, Thuram, Gallas, Sagnol, Ribery, Vieira, Toulalan, Malouda, Saha , Henry.
Subs Not Used: Frey, Boumsong, Wiltord, Clerc, Diarra, Trezegueut, Anelka
