In the words of Van Persie, “It definitely would not have happened if we had done our job properly, but, that’s sports for you. It’s a leveller. You are going to have days like these on the pitch.”
“We do have talked about it. The players and the management staff had a meeting the other day and various things got talked about there. Defence was obviously one of them, but, we’ve work to do in other departments too.”
“We often talk about that very point where the error is committed, but, we forget where it began. You would always find that one error leads to another. So, there must be errors before the defensive errors, in the midfield or at any other position. We need to focus on all those things.”
Van Persie was, however, one of the shining lights for the Red Devils in Leicester as the Dutchman, after a while, appeared to be at the peak of his game. He started the scoring for his team converting a cross from Falcao into a goal.
