There have been demands that he should be made to play once more in front of the home crowd.
Some former French players have also been supporting these demands of the fans.
Didier Deschamps, the France head coach, while talking to a news channel the previous night, dropped hints that he might be inviting Henry to serve the Les Blues for one final time.

Speaking in that news programme, Deschamps said, “It seems to have become a huge topic and we definitely will have to have a look at it. I would talk to the chairman. I am not making any promises at the moment. I would not force the issue. We would see if anything can be done about it.”
“People are obviously missing Thierry and I can totally understand their desire of having the opportunity to watch him play at home again.”

Henry last appeared in France shirt in 2010. He is the second in the list of the most capped French footballers.
The only guy who has played more number of matches than Henry for France is the defender Lilian Thuram.
Thuram has 142 France appearances to his name. Henry is 19 behind him.
Both these players played with each other for about one and half decades and did the Les Blues very proud.
