Lazio have been pretty decent away from home and they have even managed to consecutive victories on the road. A win against Catania will be their third consecutive, which certainly helps their chances of finishing in the top five.
Even though there are only a few matches remaining in the season, the prospect of Europa league qualification still does not seem to be out of the reckoning for Lazio. Fiorentina and Inter Milan occupy the final places. Lazio are seven points behind Fiorentina and only three points behind Inter Milan.
Reja says that the return of Rolando Maran makes Catania strong, but he is confident of success nonetheless.
“This is the start of a decisive group of games. We’re in a good period of form and must bring consistency. A positive result would give us a better chance of catching those positions that are within our reach. We have vast competition for European places, though, including Verona, Milan and Torino. I want to see 90 minutes of an aggressive and confident Lazio. Rolando Maran has returned to Catania and improved matters, as he already knew the squad,” said Reja.
Lazio will certainly be worried about an inferior goal difference compared to their rivals.
