Former Manchester United star Louis Saha has hailed the qualities of Cristiano Ronaldo, who has maintained his performance levels despite his trailing age. The Portugal international has already surpassed the age of 33 but this has not hampered his progress on the playing field with Real Madrid.
Ronaldo’s form had come into question during the first half of the season with Real Madrid where he had struggled to find the net in the Spanish La Liga. However, following the winter break, the 33-year-old managed to find a renewed source of energy within him and this has witnessed him score 25 or more league goals for the ninth straight season since joining the club.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese is also on the process of creating some unique history in Europe, should Real Madrid clinch the Champions League title for the third straight campaign. Ronaldo has already matched the likes of Andres Iniesta, Lionel Messi, Gerard Pique, and Xavi by winning four Champions League crowns and he can now become the first player in the modern era to secure five titles in the elite competition. Los Blancos take on Liverpool in the Champions League final in Kiev this weekend.
