Louis Saha praises the qualities of Cristiano Ronaldo

Former Manchester United star Louis Saha has hailed the qualities of Cristiano Ronaldo, who has maintained his performance levels despite his trailing age. The Portugal international has already surpassed the age of 33 but this has not hampered his progress on the playing field with Real Madrid.

Speaking to Goal.com, Saha has been impressed with the super natural abilities of former United teammate and believes the Portuguese has the motivation to continue playing for many more years to come, he said: “It is just not human what he is doing. The stats are something but just the intensity that he has in his game. His motivation is huge, his face is completely red after the game (Saha says laughing) and, basically, two or three days later, he is still there. He doesn’t miss many games. “He represents all his clubs and his country well. He represents his family well. All the responsibility he has and he is able to be happy. He is a very handsome guy as well, so he has it all!”

Ronaldo’s form had come into question during the first half of the season with Real Madrid where he had struggled to find the net in the Spanish La Liga. However, following the winter break, the 33-year-old managed to find a renewed source of energy within him and this has witnessed him score 25 or more league goals for the ninth straight season since joining the club.

Meanwhile, the Portuguese is also on the process of creating some unique history in Europe, should Real Madrid clinch the Champions League title for the third straight campaign. Ronaldo has already matched the likes of Andres Iniesta, Lionel Messi, Gerard Pique, and Xavi by winning four Champions League crowns and he can now become the first player in the modern era to secure five titles in the elite competition. Los Blancos take on Liverpool in the Champions League final in Kiev this weekend.
