Louis Saha won’t be surprised if European champions Chelsea signSevilla defender Jules Kounde as the replacement for outgoing German international Antonio Rudiger. Ex-Roma star Rudiger is on his way out of Chelsea after failing to agree a new deal with the club. Speaking after the 1-0 victory at home to 10-man West Ham United in a Premier League London Derby encounter played on Sunday, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel told reporters that Rudiger will leave the club when his contract expires this summer as he said the centre back has communicated his decision to leave to him.
Louis Saha is certain that Kounde would love to test himself in the Premier League and that he could fill the gap left by Rudiger at the end of this season.
Various reports in the media claim that Rudiger has agreed a deal to sign for incoming Spanish champions Real Madrid. Trusted Italian journalist tweeted with his official Twitter account about Rudiger on Thursday as he said that the free transfer signing of the German won’t be announced until the end of the season. He added that Real Madrid have given Rudiger a four-year deal until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Rudiger is a key player for Thomas Tuchel having been instrumental in their Champions League title triumph last season. Chelsea fans would be hoping they can find a replacement as good as the German.
